Your Purring is Within Me ... a sonnet by Mickey Mantle

Your purring is within me.
It's gentle in my heart.
Soft motor sounds will start
to waken thoughts of thee.
I picture you so regal,
Atop the JVC.
Your paws so small and dainty
My longing is illegal.
Oh, my lady of pink
I dream of you day long.
Your name is like a song
I sing aloud ... don't lip sync.
Dear Marilyn MonREOW
My feelings for you grow.

My darling Mickey,

I am blown away! What a marvelous sonnet, so resplendent with your love of language, your wit and charm, and your manly beauty.

Thank you so much, my dearest! I am deeply honored, and I am *blushing* oh-so-happily.

And you look ever so handsome and dignified posing with your rhyming book and your spectacles.

Your ever-loving,

Marilyn

"My longing is illegal." =8-O ...!!!

It's still a great sonnet, Mickey! A contemporary sonnet, if you will.

Have a great Wed!!

Wow, that illegal longing sounds very dangerous and wild!

Wow...that was great! I especially liked the part about the JVC.
