Thank you so much for welcoming me to the blogosphere.
This photo was taken this afternoon especially for my blog.
First--Dragonheart (I've heard so much about you!) Jeter likes to spell phonetically ... he says it makes more sense to him! He's young and is encouraged to write, write, write ... then check the spelling. He hasn't reached the "check" part yet!
Eric and Flynn (I've heard about you as well!) Oh Mickey You're So Fine is by Toni Basil. It's a favorite of mine.
Yao-Lin (Yes, I've heard about you, too!) Jeter and I laugh together ... so I suppose he's "laffin an laffin" with me!
Elvin (very nice to meet you!) You appear to be on your way to becoming a "big mancat!"
Finally, I'm so happy to see such wonderful friends as Marie (and Donnyboy) and Lux here in the blogosphere. We are Whitesters and we all belong to the PWKC.
Let's call this "Thoreau Thursday". This poem by Henry Thoreau is for my friend Marilyn.
from Friendship by Henry David Thoreau
...Two sturdy oaks I mean,
which side by side,
Withstand the winter's storm,
And spite of wind and tide,
Grow up the meadow's pride,
For both are strong
Above they barely touch, but undermined
Down to their deepest source,
Admiring you shall find
Their roots are intertwined
Insep'rably

Dearest Mickey,
Oh, my smelling salts, where are they! What a handsome picture of you, my darling. It shows, to heart-thumping effect, your utter and irresistable mancatliness. You are a masterful blogger already.
And what a beautiful poem! Thank you so much. And you know what, it's quite marvelously uncanny that you posted that poem for me: its metaphor for love, of two oak trees with intertwined roots, is the very one which Mom and Dad wrote of to each other for their tenth anniversary a few weeks ago.
*blush* and *purrrrrrrrrr*!
Ever your loving,
Marilyn
Marilyn,
Is that true that your mom and dad shared the same poem?
That is uncanny!
Yours--Mick

Dearest Mickey,
Oh yes, quite true! They have what they think of as themes for their anniversaries, and the oaks were their theme for this year.
Incredibly -- dare I say it, purr-fectly uncanny!

Hi Mickey!! We is furry glad you got your own blog!
Mickey, that is a very wonderful photo of you lounging on the back wall!
Um, Mick I hope you don't mind my asking a rather personal question, but I've heard that sometimes white male cats have hearing problems. Do you know anything about that rumor?
Also, I assume that PWKC is Pure White Kitty Club (or something like that)?
