Here's another Yankee who hit his 500th homerun at Yankee Stadium.
The date was May 14, 1967 and the Yankee was ...
MICKEY MANTLE!

My darling Mickeybear,
How exciting about A-Rod -- 500 home runs is a LOT of home runs! And how marvelous that the other Yankee who accomplished that feat was none other than your namesake! *big smile*! And *giggle*, I'm sure Cole will love your post. I will go to Miss Peach's blog and tell him about it!
Thank you so much, dear, for your sweet words to my Mom. I know her heart hurts missing the two ferals who went to their new home today, but at the same time she is so happy that they are in a safer place now -- when she told them goodbye yesterday, she told them that no matter where they are, no matter what they are doing, they will always be loved by her, they are always-loved kitties, and they will forever carry her love with them, it is a part of them.
Now she's got to lay strategy about catching the remaining three ferals -- they'll be a bit tougher, but she is confident she can do it! *smile*
Meowz Mickey! Cole is in Seattle this weekend for the Red Sox game:) I do hope he will be wearing his MANTLE jersey to the game! This is quite a celebration for ARod to hit the big 500! Last week at the Thrift shop, we found a big framed photo of ARod when he was on the Mariners team...Coles face nearly exploded with glee! Life is good for a little baseball fan around here. Cole made a video for you that I will put on my bloggy next week when he is here again. It is soooo mice to have such a great furrrrend way out there in the gr8 state of New York. Check back to this post next week, I am sure Cole will want to tell you things:) Purrrrs Miss Peachy ps: the flowers are so pretty and you look like you are really enjoying the good night lovin
