A Dog Came to Visit ... and this Mancat was Fine!

Yes ... it's true ... there was a canine in my yard yesterday.
He was unusually tall ... and very active.
He was quite anxious to see me!
But I was a cool mancat and waited for him to calm down ...
and then, for him to leave!

I am not fazed by dogs ... like other members of my family.

marilyn wrote a most fabulous rubaiyat for me.

Thank you Marilyn.

My darling Mickeybear,

I'm absolutely delighted that you loved the Rubáiyát! It's such a wonderful poetry form -- I think you'll enjoy it. Once you get it rolling in the first stanza, it starts flowing from itself. So much fun!

And I'm tickled that you got a kick out of me working "chutzpah" into your poem. I just love that word! And you should have seen the smile on my face when it dawned on me that "chutzpah" and "Yamaha" rhyme *giggle*.

Guess what, dear -- we have yet another thing in common! I'm not afraid of dogs in the least. Two of the beans in my extended beanfamily have a Great Dane, and he doesn't frighten me in the least. He's huge, but he's very, very nice. I don't get too close to him, though, because I don't want him to step on me! *smile*

I'm still thinking about what to do for Jeter's contest! I think Mao's got his idea figured out, though.

Mmmm, such a handsome picture of you *smile*. Do you know, just today, Mom took a picture of me on her desk with my paw draped down, just like you have yours? I'll post it tomorrow.

Love and whisker-kisses from your Kittypie!

Nice, Mick! You play it real cooool. Nodog has ever visited me. Small children yes, dogs no. Don't think I'd be as cool as you in the face of a dog.

Mickey, Mickey, as a fellow cat, I want to tell you, I think you're crazy. Why wouldn't you use that very good door that's behind you and put it between you and the woofie? I'm scared for you just looking at your picture. Toodles, Tyler
